Certification ISO 28000:2007

Terminales Río de la Plata places a high priority in the chain supply. In this sense, certification ISO 28000:2007 is another step taken by the company in the search of the excellence of its services.

In an increasingly globalized and interconnected world, this new Norm is a response to the increasing market demand of optimal safety management.

Although it applies to various kinds of organizations, it specially conforms to logistics companies and those companies that are involved in the world trade chain.

Thus, in July of 2009, and following the guidelines set by DP World, TRP became the first port company to obtain this international certification.

International Ship and Port Facilities Security Code - ISPS - P.B.I.P.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is the United Nations specialized agency responsible for ensuring maritime security and preventing pollution from ships.

The International Ship and Port Facilities Security Code – ISPS - is among the safety measures in force.

In 2004, TERMINALES RIO DE LA PLATA S.A. defined the functions and responsibilities corresponding to governments, shipping companies and port authorities in order to guarantee maritime security. In this way, an efficient and permanent flow of information about vessels and facilities security can be ensured. Moreover, there are plans and procedures to enable reaction against changes in the different protection levels (1: normal; 2: reinforced; 3: exceptional).

Our Plan (P.B.I.P) has been certified by the ARGENTINE COAST GUARD - International Body and IMO member – and it is assessed on a yearly basis.

ISO 14001 Certificate

DP World, third port Terminal operator worldwide, is firmly committed to developing a safe workplace and protecting the environment.
TRP business activities entail an ongoing interaction with the environment. Our goal is to mitigate any impact which might be detrimental to the environment by raising awareness in every single person who is working in this Terminal.
TRP has developed, implemented and sustained, an Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001:2004 standard.
Every year our company is assessed by Germanischer Lloyd —an international certification agency—; hence, reassuring our commitment with continuous improvement.

ISO 9001 Certificate

TRP has confirmed its quality commitment through the certification of its Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 standard. Since 1999, our System has been annually assessed by international certificate agencies which endorse our performance and continuous efforts for ongoing improvement. These efforts are reflcted in the perception of our customers.

Our objective is to be acknowledged as the main Container Terminal in South America. To that end, we try to satisfy our customers in every undertaking.
